Most people have both vision plans and medical insurance. They are very different in terms of the services they cover. We take most major medical insurances, such as Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Tricare, and United Healthcare. Medical insurance can be used for any eye concerns/issues/conditions, such as lazy eye, eye injury, redness, headaches, eye pain, failed vision screening, etc. Dr. Wong practices medical optometry and provides a thorough, comprehensive pediatric vision and eye health evaluation. We work with all types of vision plans on an open-access basis. The benefit of being an open-access provider is we are not contracted directly with your vision plan, so Dr. Wong can make medical decisions based on your child's needs and not by the vision plan once a year basic coverage. If you provide us with a few pieces of information, our insurance specialist can pull your insurance eligibility, coverage, and provide a quote of your benefits and how much your vision plan will reimburse you directly.

If you do not see your insurance carrier listed above, don't worry! Just give us a call or send us a message via our website as we are in-network with many other dental plans. We also serve many families as a non-participating/out-of-network provider, with insurance plans that provide benefits at the same or similar level as in-network coverage.Whether in or out-of-network, our team is happy to perform a courtesy insurance benefits check with your insurance company prior to your appointment. This can be done at no charge as long as we are provided with your full insurance information at least 7 days prior to your scheduled appointment.
